Eigen Control has advanced its work with a major NGL fractionation operator in Mt. Belvieu, Texas, expanding the industrial deployment of the Eigen IC Analyzer for real-time composition inference and control support in NGL fractionation operations.
Mt. Belvieu is one of the most important NGL hubs in North America. Fractionation assets in the region operate under demanding commercial and technical constraints, where product quality, throughput, energy use, analyzer reliability, and control stability directly affect plant economics.
The Eigen IC Analyzer is designed for this operating environment. The system uses machine learning models deployed inside the plant's operational technology environment to infer live product composition from process data. Outputs are delivered to operators and control systems at high frequency, providing a faster and more continuous view of product quality than conventional analyzer-only workflows.
Eigen's work with the Mt. Belvieu operator began with targeted inferential analysis on a fractionation train and advanced toward broader use across additional NGL fractionation service. The deployment path reflects a central principle behind Eigen Control's technology: industrial AI must earn trust inside real process constraints before it can become part of routine operating decisions.
For operators, the value of real-time inferential quality is practical and direct. Faster visibility into product composition can support tighter control, better product-quality management, improved response to feed variation, and stronger performance from APC, MPC, and operator advisory strategies. It can also reduce dependence on delayed measurements when control decisions need to be made before the next analyzer cycle is available.
Eigen's approach combines process engineering, machine learning, edge deployment, and managed model support. The system is designed to run close to the process, integrate with plant control infrastructure, and continue improving as operating conditions, feed composition, and analyzer behavior change.
This work represents an important milestone for Eigen Control: moving industrial AI beyond dashboards and analytics into the control-room environment, where real-time quality visibility can support higher-value decisions in live NGL fractionation operations.
